Japan Pastor's Wives Conference.

Praise The Lord that the conference went well. The wives enjoyed themselves and it was a blessing that they were blessed. I was able to see Pastor Mike's wife, Sonya and she was able to tell me about the conference. Please pray that God will make this an annual event.

Iwakuni "Kin-Tai Bridge".

Iwakuni boasts a famous bridge called the "Kin Tai". Many tourists both domestic and foreign visit this bridge during the season of Fall and Spring to see the bridge and the beautiful scenery. This bridge is the not original bridge. The bridge was destroyed some time ago due to a strong tsunami which lead to its rebuilding, yet, the bridge was remodeled to its exact specifications.

Joanna has arrived.

My Mom has flown up from Okinawa as she makes her way to the Calvary Pastor's wives conference. Joanna has made her trip to Tokyo an eventful one as the college will be hosting a one day conference for majority of the Calvary Pastor's wives here in Japan. Please pray the the ladies will be encouraged and refreshed on Saturday.
I was able to see my mom half a day before I head down south to Iwakuni to visit pastor Mike and the body.

Drinking "The Juice".

Hannah came back from Sapporo with a box of special tea. This tea is to help circulate both the blood and digestive system within a human body to give weight loss and proper function. Hannah says this stuff really works as she drinks one cup in the morning that leads to her being hungry all day.

Anna the gymnast.

Wednesdays are "park days" for the kids at the daycare. The kids really enjoy the park were they are allowed to run and play with no care. Anna Holt took a group aside and began to show them some gymnast moves and before you know it, she is teaching a mini class.

Discipleship class.

Every Monday night the students from both campuses meet together to have a time of "Discpleship". The class is taught by Pastor Tom in Okinawa. Students here in Tokyo tune into the class thru FaceTime. There is much interaction on both sides of the campuses which makes it fun and lively. Today the students were encouraged and reminded that "The Nature of Ministry is Service".

Soumen Noodles.

The students were able to eat "Soumen". Soumen is a type of flour noodle that is served is a concentrated broth. It is not like ramen or other types of soups. Soumen is served with less broth to drink but more to give the noodles a taste. This is a favorite household meal during the summer time because it is light and not served hot. (Anna Folkerts gave approval of her picture.)

Saying good bye to Grace.

This Sunday was Grace's last Sunday before she heads back to Thailand. Grace has been a blessing to us here in Fuchu and it is bitter sweet to see her leave. Please keep Grace in prayer as she really has a desire to return back to Fuchu to help at CC Fuchu and the daycare.

Blessings from Aunt Haruko.

Justin was able to visit his relatives 2 hours north of Tokyo yesterday and they blessed the students with a melon and a box of grapes. Grapes in Japan are not cheap and they can easily fetch ¥2,000 for two cluster of grapes. The students were blessed, Anna Folkerts was really happy as fruit is not cheap here like in Peru.

Ice cream heaven.

Hannah is up in Hokkaido right now to visit our Christian family at CC Golgotha. She was blessed by one of the ladies that attends church who works at the "GariGari-Kun" factory. GariGari Kun is a popular "ice candy" for being cheap and refreshing on a summer day. She was able to eat as much as she wanted to. Lucky.

Grilling for Jesus.

Check out the grill. There was a ton of beef and chicken. Everyone had their fill, one thing about pastor Rich. Go big or go home.

The party inside.

It's great to be able to use the bible college for fellowship purposes. It reminds me of parties back at CCBC Okinawa.

Roof top Barbeque.

Today is a holiday in Japan so everyone decided to have a Barbeque party at the bible college. We Hae dubbed it "The Roof-top Cook-off". The weather was incredible.

Full worship team.

It was great to have this W2's worship have a full team. Hannah lead while Jordan played back up and Justin played the cajon. Tonight was a blessing to worship God.

Eating ramen.

The guys were able to go out to eat ramen for lunch (don't worry girls, we'll go again). Both Jordan and Justin liked what they ate. Jordan was happy to know what he ate tasted similar to some ramen he had in Portland thus assuring his heart he has had real Japanese ramen.

Rooftop relaxation.

The fall season is making way into the mainland. The cool afternoon breezes are wonderful to receive. Cooler weather means relaxing on the rooftop. Nothing can beat sitting on the roof, fellowshipping with friends and seeing Mt.Fuji in the distance.

King sized Rice roll

Eiji-san is rocking a big lunch. Look at the rice roll he is eating, that is one good looking meal.

Meiji Shrine.

Right next to Harajuku is the Meiji Shrine. This shrine is dedicated to the late Emperor Meiji who died in 1918. The shrine also serves as a Buddhist temple but we now who the real Savior is; Jesus Christ.

Japanese wedding.

At the shrine we were able to catch a Japanese bride and groom. The traditional wedding gown is beautiful.

Jordan's first.

Today was special for Jordan and the Bible College students as they were able to take the train. Also, Jordan was able to try a vitamin drink, it was good.

Harajuku.

Today the students were finally able to go hit the city life of Tokyo. Here the students are at Harajuku. Harajuku is the fashion capital of Japan, there are many stores to find affordable clothes to Japan's standards.

A quiet room.

A quiet room isn't odd here at the college in Tokyo. The students have been studious in their studies and the ministries that they help with. Good big job guys, already two weeks have ended for the semester. Time flies.

The roof is finished.

The Bible College building needed a few touch ups on the outside to prevent rain leakage. The owner of the building agreed to pay for the that needed to be done. No one was allowed to walk on the roof for the past week and a half but now the work is finished. God is good, check out Jordan doing his morning devotions.
